Group Calendar - ver 3.10.0

OnTime Group Calendar 3.10.0 includes a total of more than 100 new features and bug fixes and a number and design changes. Please, view major changes below.

New Features

OnTime Web Client

  • Expose settings for Show/Hide weekends in the UI
  • Expose settings for Row height selection in the UI
  • Login for HTTP that eliminates the need for user documents in the web database. This will allow the use of a load balancer for Web, Social and Mobile

OnTime Notes Client

  • Expose settings for Show/Hide weekends in the UI
  • Expose settings for Row height selection in the UI
  • Major rewrite of the Appointment dialog box
  • Display “created by” on Entries, when entry is created in another user’s calendar
  • Display “created by” on Room and Resource Entries
  • Previously users in OnTime have been resolved in Sametime using the email address configured in OnTime. For customers requiring the use of UID (ShortName), to resolve users in IBM Sametime, we have added an application setting (Sametime WatchItem) to control this behavior. (See the FAQ on http://www.ontimesuite.com for more information)

OnTime Social

  • Login for HTTP that eliminates the need for user documents in the web database. This will allow the use of a load balancer for Web, Social and Mobile

OnTime Mobile

  • Design change with focus on enhancing the users navigation experience
  • New appointment form to support create, edit and delete directly from the mobile device
  • Login for HTTP that eliminates the need for user documents in the web database. This will allow the use of a load balancer for Web, Social and Mobile

Group Calendar Configuration

  • The ability to set a mail database on a specific server Out-Of-Service
  • The ability to configure a reminder email when license count is close to be exceeded

GCTask

  • Full cluster support including support for:
    • Clustered Mail Servers
    • Clustered OnTime Servers
    • Failover for Users

Group Calendar - ver 3.9.1

New Features

OnTime Web Client

  • Out of Office support
    • Option to configure Out of Office for a given user. Action found in Business Card section. To disable the feature a new global setting has been implemented. (For further info, please look at Configuration section)
  • Restricted Room Support
  • New Date/Time picker enabling typing of date/time and the use of arrows
  • Security Risk identified and fixed. A bug that potentially could result in users gaining unauthorized access has been fixed.

OnTime Notes Client

  • Out of Office support
    • Option to configure Out of Office for a given user. Action found in Business Card section. To disable the feature a new global setting has been implemented. (For further info, please look at Administration section below)
  • Restricted Room Support
  • To improve the user experience, multiple actions are now merged into dropdown lists when required.

Configuration

  • New global setting implemented to disable Out of Office for all GC clients
  • New option to ad sort order on Legends

Social

  • Features have been realigned with features implemented in earlier version of the OnTime web interface
  • UId support to allow the IBM Connections to OnTime Group Calendar integration to be based on uid (Short name) rather than e-mail address which is the default.

API

  • Security Risk identified and fixed. A bug that potentially could result in users gaining unauthorized access has been fixed.

Photo database

  • UId support to allow the OnTime Group Calendar to IBM Connections integration to be based on uid (Short name) rather than e-mail address which is the default.

Time off database

  • Changes to time off requests now always resubmits request to Approver

Bugs

Several bug- and stability issues have been fixed in all clients and in the back-end. We recommend that you upgrade to this version at your earliest convenience.

OnTime Web Client

Meeting /Appointment
  • New Meeting/Appointment features
    • Body field now visible as display value on Meeting/Appointment dialog and in details panel
    • New “Open in Notes” action. The action redirects you to the Meeting/Appointment in the IBM Notes calendar
    • Improved indication of appointment type
      • Meeting
      • Appointment
      • All day event
    • Improved indication of repeated entry
    • Improved display of actions. Only relevant actions to the selected/opened appointment are shown
  • Create Meeting features
    • New Drag-to-Create option
    • Create meeting (drag-to-create or double click) always defaults current user as host
    • New “quick-select” on Meeting enabling user to quickly select new host from dropdown list of people invited to the meeting. Note: Selecting new host from quick-select list will remove the selected host from the required-list.
  • Edit Meeting – Now available for single instance meetings
  • New Delete and Edit restrictions implemented in OnTime GC for Timeoff and Broadcast appointments
Invitations/Notices

Notices are invitations, update-, reschedule-, confirmation- and cancel notices waiting to be process

  • New feature to process single instance notices (to process repeating instances use new “Open in Notes” action)
    • Visibility of notices and notice type in viewer, detail panel and “My Notices” panel (for more info on the “My Notices” panel, please look below)
    • Notice type indicated by icons in lists
    • New dialog to display notices
    • Accept and Decline option for invitations, and new Update option for notices. Note: To process notices, please note that you have to process notices in the order these are presented in the OnTime GC client • “My Notices” panel box (expands the functionality of the previous “My Invitations” panel box) o Contains list of current user’s notices
  • My Notices panel includes actions to Accept, Decline, Update and Open in Notes
User setting
  • New option to enable default setting for ”Notify host”. Only available if Config setting is Default- on or Default-off (For further info, please look at Administration section below)
Main- and Left panel
  • Main panel – New ”Show selected” feature. Action is available in bottom left panel
  • Left panel – New and improved Expand/Collapse feature
    • New splitter added
    • Drag to resize using new splitter
    • Drag to move selected panel box by clicking the header of the panel box
    • Expand/Collapse panel box by clicking header of the panel box (panel box maximizes and all other panel boxes collapses – toggle moves back to previous position)
Administration
  • New default options for Notify host: Never, Default – off, Default – on, Always (Application default setting)
  • New configuration setting for access – Exclude names when reading ACL’s (Global setting)
