ONTIME BACKEND

  • Fixed an issue where changing the number of days to synchronise would result in a system failure. This was an issue introduced in 2.8.0 / 2.8.1

IMPROVEMENTS

ONTIME WEB DESKTOP

  • Upgraded the main viewer component. The new viewer has many improvements including:
    - Scalability. Paging i.e. the use of tabs is no longer required
    - Row height is set in increments of 1 between the values of 1 and 9
  • When creating a meeting invitation, it is now possible to click "Find Free Time" which will provide a list of possible time slots for the meeting.
  • New search in the viewer has been added. The new search which allows the user to search for People / Rooms or Resources (All / Name / Title / Company / Location / Department / email) or search for calendar entries (All / Subject / Location / Category / Attendees (email) / Organizer)
  • Fixed several issues in the left group panel.
  • Improved and expanded on the options when selecting who should be the organizer for an entry.
  • Added an OnTime Group Calendar Office Add-ins XML manifest for Outlook. The XML manifest file of the Office Add-in describes how the add-in ís activated. We have included a function to create your own organization specific Add-in XML manifesto file. It is a requirement for the use of an Office Add-ins XML manifest for Outlook, that your organisation uses https.
  • Added a Mail Based Authentication workflow to request a token for OnTime when using the Add-in for Outlook. This is configured from the Admin UI under Global Backend. This is mandatory if you are using ADFS and optional if not. The addition of multiple domains has required some reorganization of the admin interface e.g. the server section has been replaced by a domain section.
  • Added a Mail Based Authentication workflow to request a token for OnTime even if you are not using the Add-in for Outlook.

ONTIME MOBILE WEB

  • URL´s in the location field of the business card can now be launched by clicking it.
  • When creating a meeting invitation, it is now possible to click "Find Free Time" which will provide a list of possible time slots for the meeting.
  • URL´s in the location field of a calendar entry can now be launched by clicking it.

ONTIME POLLARITY

  • Developers can now direct URL to launch New Poll incl. invitees like "/desktop?newpoll=%7B%22emails%22%3A%5B%22martin%40example.com%22%2C%22yuri%40example.com%22%5D%2C%22subject%22%3A%22My%20Test%20Subject%22%7D" which is the encoded version of /desktop?newpoll={"emails":["Diese E-Mail-Adresse ist vor Spambots geschützt! WEB ADMIN

  • Added an option to invalidate a token for a user if, for example, the user has lost a device.
  • Simplyfied the configuration of authetication method.
  • Under Users, for each member, it is now possible to see when the events were last synchronised with the underlying calendar system.

ONTIME BACKEND

  • We have added support for multiple domains. This means that users in the group calendar can originate from multiple sources. It is also possible to create invitations across domains. It is not possible to create direct entries in calendars for users from other domains than your own. The domains can be a mix of Exchange on-prem and Exchange online(365) domains. In this version sharing of permissions across domains is limited to the default / My Organisation level. On our roadmap is a role system which will allow for a much more granular level of sharing inside and across domains.
  • Java updated to version 8u172
  • Tomcat updated to version 8.5.30
  • sqljdbc updated to 6.4.0.0
  • Improved security in the token model. This could in some cases result in users having to provide user name / password when loginthe the first time after the upgrade.

BUG FIXES

In addition to the specific bugs mentioned below, we have fixed some minor stability issues

ONTIME MOBILE WEB

  • Fixed an issue where selecting three or more invitees for a meeting resulted in the input would scroll up and out of the screen area. (iphone only)
  • Fixed an issue where "Find Free Time" was visible even if the sleected time slot exceeded the maximum allowed duration of 24 hours

ONTIME POLLARITY

  • Fixed an issue where it was possible to submit the same poll twice.
  • Fixed an issue where it is was not possible to populate a new poll with mail addresses by pasting.

WEB ADMIN

  • It is no longer possible to create groups without adding a name to them.

ONTIME BACKEND

  • Added a missing index to the SQL db which greatly increases the search speed when selecting rooms.
  • Fixed several issues in the OnTime permission synchronisation
  • Fixed an issue where the Connection to the SQL Server could be lost and result in termination of the subscription service

Please note: Support for OnTime Group Calendar API lover than version 2 has been removed in version 2.8.x and onwards

  • Fixed an issue where "Expand to 24 hours" by clicking the date header in columns did not work correctly when performing advanced search
  • Fixed an issue which prevented room only bookings

ONTIME BACKEND

  • Fixed an issue which in rare cases could result in the URL forwarder shutting down
  • Fixed an issue where settings were attempted saved even if the connection to the database on the SQL server was not available.

Version 2.7.2

  •  Fixed a degredation issue introduced in 2.7.0 which resulted in group based permission sync failing

ONTIME INSTALL

  • Missing cmd file to install Pollarity Tomcat manually
  • Fixed a situation where install of the Pollarity Tomcat would exit if the db could not be created. The process now install the Tomcat and the db can be created at a later point should this situation occur.
  • Fixed an error in the install script which resulted in new OnTime installations failing during creation

Version 2.7.0

IMPROVEMENTS

ONTIME WEB DESKTOP 

  • Added a URL link detector to the description field. Amongst other things, this feature allows you to add links to meeting resources such as Skype for Business meetings
  • Working hours have been added to the Desktop client. The working hours can be enabled / disabled by the user, and they are configured from the settings menu. In OnTime working hours can be configured individually for each workday
  • The date of a scheduling conflict has been added to the top of the conflict dialogue when scheduling a meeting

ONTIME POLLARITY

OnTime Pollarity helps your organisation reduce the time needed to decide upon a common time slot for a meeting. This is achieved by polling the intended participants by sending out meeting invitations. OnTime Pollarity is a new add-on in version 2.7 which includes:

  • Ability to manage polls from the OnTime browser interface (if Pollarity is enabled in the license key)
  • Active polls are visible in the poll participants' individual mail files. Polls can be shown as Busy / Tentative or Free
  • A new Pollarity database which stores active polls
  • New mobile and desktop browser voting pages for external participants

WEB ADMIN

  • Static Groups max number in lists extended to 200,000
  • A Show All option has been added to the admin interface. If this is set to "Yes" the group will include all users when displayed

ONTIME BACKEND

  • Updated JVM to latest security release
  • The Free Time Search has been modified so that tentative entries are displayed as busy

BUG FIXES

In addition to the specific bugs mentioned below, we have fixed some minor stability issues

ONTIME DESKTOP CLIENT

  • Swedish language is not supported in 2.7 at the time of release. If you do upgrade to 2.7 and you were previously running the clients in Swedish, the clients will fall back to English
  • Aligned name format for people with the Web Mobile
  • Fixed an issue where the organizer is missing after a reload of the interface
  • Fixed an issue where the the user's own mail address was added to the "To" field when sending a mail
  • Fixed an issue where the correct legend for Vacation was not shown after an upgrade from version 1.5.x

ONTIME MOBILE WEB

  • Fixed an issue where manual sortinging was not working
  • Fixed an issue where Name Format was not fully implemented for rooms & resources
  • Aligned name format for people with the Web Desktop

WEB ADMIN

  • Fixed a bug which could result in two default settings documents being created for new installations

ONTIME BACKEND

  • Fixed an issue where permissions added using Power-Shell script and where the casing of the email-address did not match AD casing, users were only getting default permission on other users' calendars
  • Fixed an issue where Static groups were not visible when upgrading to the 2.6.0 version

  • Fixed an issue with private group member selections not respecting maximum search results as defined in the user default settings in the admin client

  • Fixed an issue which resulted in notification mails to the users when they edited their own appointments

  • Fixed an issue with external users on events, preventing event to be created or edited
  • Fixed an issue with delete notice being sent to user, if user deletes own entries

  • Fixed: The "24-hour (zoom function)" collapses when choosing "show details" on an event
  • Fixed: "Not valid duration" is shown when changing an existing event to and all-day event
  • Fixed: All event types appear in the Time-off view when switching "show weekends" on and off in the view settings
  • Japanese date-format issue has been corrected
  • Fixed: Quick search functionality breaks in "Tabbed views" (only for groups that includes more than 200 users)
  • Fixed: View Tabs were not wide enough to display the alphabetic characters

  • Fixed: Cancel button does not work in the Global settings/Frontend

ONTIME DESKTOP API

  • Fixed: Wrong sorting of rooms, resources & people in search
  • Fixed: OnTime ACS (ADFS) terminates on a Windows 2008 R2 server
  • Fixed: URL forwarder crashed when testing OnTime Mobile on slow bandwith (time-out)

BACK-END

  • Fixed: Non-MS users (email forwarding to IBM Notes) slowed the permision sync time for the subsequent users
  • Fixed: Silent install of SQL server fails on a Windows 2016 server
  • Fixed: Auth service has been reported to break in some cases

  • View is now refreshed prior to creating events in order to avoid conflicts
  • Default colour applied to events if the default legend has been deleted in the Admin panel
  • Now possible to Log Out even when using domain service
  • Closing "About" does not close the application

  • Language was returning English event if another language had been selected

IMPROVEMENTS

ONTIME DESKTOP CLIENT

  • The new Meeting Assistant helps you in finding the right time for your meetings. It becomes active once you select multiple users. Some of the main features of the Meeting Assistant are:
    • To the right of the people selected you will see a new check box. This check box shows whether this user will be included in the free time search. If you deselect a user more meeting slots are likely to be available. Even if you deselect a person, that person will still be included in the invitation
    • A bar at the top of the view clearly indicates available slots in green, white indicates available but slot not long enough for the defined meeting length, red indicates that this slot is not available for all the users you included in the search for available meeting slots
  • New Event details overview, delivering User information with your Access rights to this persons calendar, and Event details including attendees and rooms & equipment
  • New Business Card with Person/Room/Equipment details including actions mail, call and create meetings
  • Improved new avatars when using the "Exchange 2013 and newer" API
  • Your access rights for peoples calendars. We have placed this information for you on both the persons business card and the event details. This way it is easier to see what you can do and cannot do on behalf of this user
  • Support for Optional attendees
  • Support for the Show As status: "Working Elsewhere" that was introduced in Exchange 2013 and later versions
  • Now Author rights are supported to allow you to create and edit events on behalf of a colleague
  • You no longer need to switch to edit mode to change date/time. Quick select menu appears when you drag an Event and ask you if you want to Update, Edit or Discard
  • Added French and Italian languages to the existing language list of: English, German, Swedish, Danish and Japanese

In addition to the specific bugs mentioned below, we have fixed a number of minor stability issues and minor bugs.

ONTIME DESKTOP CLIENT

  • Problem with long email addresses in login (above 37 characters)
  • Fixed sizing and scrolling issue in the Group sidebar
  • Removed limit on number of Groups being displayed in the Group sidebar panel
  • Change in date interval (on arrows top left) corrected
  • All-day events now show correct duration
  • "Show as" - naming: Out of Office changed to Away to align with Outlook naming

BACK-END

  • EWS User Sync Invalid name resolution
  • www-form-url-encoided gets translated to an invalid space char and therefore caurse the user not to be able to login
